G2E (GenSet)

„Gas Turbine Generator Set – GenSet - refers to the power generation device that uses combustible gas as fuel to drive alternator with gas turbine as prime mover, and convert mechanical energy into electric energy and thermal energy. It consists of gas turbine, alternator and control system.

Gas turbine refers to a kind of power device that drive the impeller rotating at high-speed with the gas or liquid fuel as a medium, turn the fuel chemical energy into mechanical energy. in fact, the gas turbine is a rotary vane type of heat engine.

Gas turbine can be widely used in petroleum, chemical, steel, biosynthesis, IGCC, distributed energy and other areas of power production and compressor drive, can adapt to various fuels run on demand in high, medium and low different heating value range. Compared with the steam turbine generator set, the structure of gas turbine generator set, is relatively simple, less auxiliary equipment, thus the investment, covers an area of, with lower cost of power generation. Gas turbine has the advantages of small volume, light weight, quick start, cooling water little.”

Several manufacturers can be found on the market with good products for natural gas feedstock. These gas turbines were specially developed for natural gas, but they can not be run with synthesis gas due to its different composition and heat energy content. The syngas-turbines have been developed during the past 20 years when the pyrolysis gained more and more space and spread throughout the world.

AUX (AUXILIARY EQUIPMENTS)

The Auxiliary Equipment means all equipments of subsystems like for example the storage facility for the end product hydrocarbons, and all other equipments which are not parts of neither the Preselecting Unit, the Gasification Unit, nor the End Product Unit.

PHU (PURE HYDROGEN GENERATOR UNIT)

The Gasification Unit is able to generate pure hydrogen as side product. This subsystem provides the hydrogen for the liquefaction plant ensureing the minumum 2:1 rate between the Hydrogen and the CO gas components.

The quantity of hydrogen can be calculated considering the end product and the specific parameters of the fedd material(s) used.
